B. Braun Medical Industries Sdn. Bhd. [Company Reg: 197401001922 (19051-M)] donated medical supplies to Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC) to enable more Cambodian children to have a thriving and successful future.
On 26 August 2015, B. Braun Medical Industries Sdn. Bhd. [Company registration number: 197401001922 (19051-H)] Hospital Care Regional team donated 5,000 pieces of Dosifix®, an intravenous administration set for pediatric use, worth approximately USD10,000, to the Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC).
AHC, a non-profit organisation, commenced operations in February 1999 with just seven child patients, but has since expanded to treating an estimated 500 patients per day. To date, it has provided more than 1.5 million treatments to impoverished children across Cambodia.
In 2005, it was officially recognised as Cambodia’s first teaching hospital, one of only two in the country. Ngoun Chanpektra, Hospital Director of AHC commented, ‘We are thankful for the donation from B. Braun which enables our physicians and nurses to continuously provide high quality, compassionate care to our young patients. Such donations enable more Cambodian children to have a thriving and successful future.’ As AHC continues to rely on public financial support, such donations enable them to provide medical care to children affected by disease and poverty in Cambodia.
